yesterday trixie took us to flying pie pizza and when we emerged, sated and energized from a game of non-competitive scrabble, we found a note:
"Cool car! Sorry our toddler shoved a lot of the pieces down your passenger side engine crack though. Opps."
so we opened up the hood and indeed, there were several poetry magnets inside the engine. opps!

How about giving them a spray of diluted Simple Green while they're still on Trixie? towel them off and give them some time to dry before removing them and washing the car. My other thought is to stick them on your metal tub or sink and take a kitchen brush to them. Even the back of cookie sheets would work. This way they'll stay flat and where you want them.

thanks, jen! i might try the simple green solution; they'll have to come off at some point, anyway, and washing them on the car is probably more convenient. too bad i can't wash them at the same time i wash the car: i actually tried that once. once. :)
it would be great if i could throw them in the washing machine or dishwasher....
