We're looking for kind, courageous, generous people who want to make more
art! We host several types of events at Scarlet Star Studios: unique Artist's
Way Creative Clusters, a guided art night each month, a free collage night each month,
a wide range of inspiring workshops
led by gentle & talented instructors, and independent support options for artists. Sometimes
we also host art supply swaps, labyrinth walks, art salons & other unexpectedly delightful
opportunities for art exploration.

our events fill quickly, but even if you contact us late I'm happy to add you to a waiting
list if you're willing to swoop in for a spontaneous art opportunity!

Fine print: Since our events often fill quickly, an RSVP who doesn't show means a missed
opportunity for someone else. Half of the cost of a workshop is non-refundable. If you RSVP
for a workshop but your plans change, PLEASE give us as much notice as possible to give
another artist a chance to play. If we cannot find someone for your spot, you will be
responsible for the entire cost of the event.
Regular events
 Open Studio (free!)
A night to gather and create art on the third Thursday of each month. Create an intuitive
collage to make each of your journals unique or to explore a personal entanglement. All
supplies (& cleanup!) provided, including an enticing array of print materials, found objects,
original art scraps, pretty papers and much, much more.
Guided Intent (variable: generally $15-$25)
A way to begin your month in an intentional state, Guided Intent events are
offered the first Wednesday of each month. The Guided Intent pairs a theme with a guided art
activity and a structured feedback component, which gives you an added opportunity to engage
with your work and receive insightful, non-critical feedback to help you discover new
connections & meaning.
Artist's Way Creative
Clusters ($250 for 11 weeks)
In an Artist's Way Creative Cluster, you will gain creative
confidence, courage and compassionate companions, no matter how old you are or what you've yearned to create. Scarlet
Star Studios provides a nurturing environment to encourage art and artists at the base of
beautiful Powell Butte. If you've tried to get through Artist's Way alone, come join us!
 Artist's Way Independent
Support ($40 per hour, 2-hour minimum)
If you've been through the Artist's Way already or if you're ready to make art but just want a
little encouragement to keep you on track, play at your own pace with a caring, compassionate
facilitator. Whether you want to meet at my studio or yours, you set your goals and schedule;
I'll bring the art supplies and structure! Take the first step
on your path today.
